ABOUT WAVERLY STATION

COWBOY FELLOWSHIP

OUR MISSION STATEMENT:

We are a church that is focused on loving God, and loving people. Our mission is to bring people in through evangelism, build them up through fellowship, train them up through discipleship, and send them out through missions.

Our vision is to carry out what Jesus said in Luke 10:27, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength, and with all your mind; and your neighbor as yourself.” People don’t care how much you know, until they know how much you care.

We are members of the Southern Baptist of Texas Convention; however, we are an autonomous body of believers governed by the holy scriptures. We believe in the inerrant Word of God as the ultimate authority. “If the Bible says it, we trust it.”

Jesus is and will always be the Head of the Church, and we give all honor and praise to His holy name. It is our desire to spread the Gospel of Jesus to the entire world, as we serve side by side as the army of God.

We would love for you to visit our church at 1932 FM 1375 East, New Waverly Texas. Come be a part of a life-filled body of believers and help us tell the world about Jesus.

God bless you all,
Pastor Wade Phillips

Pastor Wade Phillips

I was born in Conroe, Texas, and raised in Madisonville Texas.  My life truly began on October 9, 2001, when I accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and Savior. I’m married to the love of my life, Tonya Phillips, and we have a wonderful son, Nicholas, daughter-in-law, Courtney, granddaughter, Anna Grace Phillips, and grandson Brent Allen Phillips. Jesus is my passion, and that passion comes out in the songs God allows me to write and sing and through His Word that He allows me to preach. I am the most joyful when I’m singing praises to the King and preaching His Word to the people. All glory goes to God for everything in my life. It is my hope that as you listen to the songs I sing and as you hear the messages God gives me you will be touched by His Spirit.

The most important thing I’d like you to know about me is that I love Jesus with all my heart, soul and mind. “I once was lost, but now I’m found,” fits me to the core. In my young adult years, I chased the dream of being a country music singer. I had the opportunity to open for many of the greatest names in country music. I thought that obtaining fame and recognition would fill the desires of my heart and give me everything I needed to be successful. I quickly found out that fame and fortune wouldn’t even come close to obtaining those things.

It was only after I found Christ that I realized what true fulfillment was. In that moment, my life changed completely.

I instantly got involved in my local church and began to serve in any way I could find. My wife and I soon started to work with the teenagers and grew daily in the Lord. After about 5 years of serving as youth pastor, God called me to pastor the church, and we served in that calling for about ten years.

God then made it clear that he wanted me to step out in faith and travel as an evangelist. My wife and I answered that call, starting 3in1 Ministries, and traveled for the next three years preaching, singing, and serving in various churches all over the southern United States.

In October 2020, I was called as senior Pastor here at Waverly Station Cowboy Fellowship. My wife and I are truly blessed to be a part of such a loving church body, and we are looking forward to seeing what God is going to do through the church’s faithful service to the kingdom.

It is my hope that people will be drawn to WSCF because of the love we show them. And as they are drawn, the Holy Spirit would speak to their hearts and souls through the preaching and teaching of the TRUTH of Jesus Christ.

My wife and I would love for you to come and be a part of this great fellowship. We are truly grateful that God has called us here at WSCF, and we are very excited to be a part of God’s plan as we, the Church, seek out God’s path with our whole heart.

God bless you and yours,
Pastor Wade Phillips
